Reset Sync uploads your changes, deletes all offline data on your device, and downloads everything again from Salesforce. It’s the main fix when data in the FieldKo Atlas app looks wrong or out of date.
A reset can permanently delete work that hasn’t reached Salesforce. If any changes can’t upload during the reset and you tap Proceed, those changes are deleted. Photos that repeatedly failed to upload are also removed. To avoid this, get Pending Changes to 0 before you start. If you can’t, send your data to FieldKo support first.

When to Use Reset Sync

Use Reset Sync when:
  • Your admin changed page layouts, fields, or objects, and you can’t see the change.
  • Records you expect are missing, or look out of date after a normal sync.
  • FieldKo support or your admin asks you to.
  • A sync error says “Missing required information to sync”.

Before You Begin

Make sure all your work has reached Salesforce before you reset:
1

Connect to Strong Wi-Fi

A reset downloads all your data again, like first-time setup, and can take several minutes.
2

Run a Normal Sync

In the side menu, tap Sync. Turn on Sync Images, and then tap Sync.
3

Check Pending Changes

Under Pending Changes, make sure Total Records and Total Images are both 0.If either is above 0, don’t reset yet. Fix the errors using Fix Sync Errors, and sync again. If you can’t get both to 0, send your data to FieldKo support before you reset.

Reset Sync

Run the reset from the Sync screen, and stay on the screen until it finishes:
1

Tap Reset Sync

On the Sync screen, tap the red Reset Sync button, and then tap Reset to confirm.
2

Wait for the Upload

The app uploads your changes and photos first.
3

Decide What to Do with Changes That Didn't Upload

If you don’t see Unsynced local changes, go to the next step. If you see it, some changes couldn’t upload. The message shows how many records are affected and why.
  • To stop the reset and keep your changes, tap Cancel. Fix the problem, and sync again. This is the safe choice.
  • To continue, tap Proceed. Those changes are permanently deleted.
4

Wait for the Download

The app clears your offline data and downloads settings, layouts, labels, and records. Stay on the screen.
5

Choose Whether to Download Images

When asked Download Images?, tap Yes to download photos now, or tap No to skip.
When the reset finishes, you see “Reset sync completed successfully”.
If a poor connection stops the app from confirming your login, the reset stops before it deletes anything.

What’s Kept and What’s Reset

The reset keeps:
  • Your settings (photo size, calendar view, theme, and maps app)
  • Sync Images
The reset clears:
  • Visit reminder settings
  • Sync history
  • Background sync errors
  • Photos that repeatedly failed to upload
