Use this page the first time you open the FieldKo Atlas app, or when the app asks you to log in again. You log in with your Salesforce account, and the first time you log in on a device, the app downloads your data so you can work offline.

Before You Begin

  • Your Salesforce username and password. If you don’t have them, ask your Salesforce admin.
  • Your login URL, if your company needs one. If your company logs in through a custom My Domain, single sign-on (SSO), or a sandbox, ask your Salesforce admin for the URL (for example, yourcompany.my.salesforce.com).
  • A strong Wi-Fi connection. First-time setup can take several minutes, depending on how much data your company syncs. Plan to keep the app open until it finishes.

You log in on the Salesforce login page, using the details from Before You Begin:
1

Open FieldKo Atlas

The Salesforce login page appears. By default, it points to login.salesforce.com.
2

Choose Your Login Server If Needed

If your admin gave you a login URL, change the login server first. Otherwise, go to the next step.
  • iOS: In the top bar of the login page, tap the gear icon, and then pick or add your server.
  • Android: On the Salesforce login page, use the server picker to pick or add your server.
3

Enter Your Salesforce Username and Password

Complete any verification your company requires.
4

Allow Access If Asked

If Salesforce asks you to grant FieldKo access, tap Allow.
First-time setup starts.

First-Time Setup

After you log in, a setup screen shows a step title, a progress bar, and a status message. The steps are Authenticating, Preparing, Initializing Database, Downloading Configuration, Downloading Data, and Setup Complete. During Downloading Data, you see:
  • Current: The type of record that’s downloading.
  • Objects: How many record types are done out of the total.
  • Records Downloaded: A running count of records.
During setup, the app checks your connection and downloads your company’s settings, such as page layouts, labels, time zone, and business hours. Then it downloads your accounts, visits, products, and other records. Most of the time, you only watch the progress. Act only if you see one of these screens or messages: When setup finishes, the My Visits home screen appears. To learn your way around, see Find Your Way Around the App. If setup fails for another reason, see Troubleshoot Login and Setup.

Log In Again Later

Same Account

If your Salesforce session expires, the app asks you to log in again. The app keeps your offline data, and anything waiting to sync uploads after you log in.

Different Account or Org

The app shows Switch user? with the message “You are signing in with a different account or organization. Proceeding will clear all offline data for the previous account.”
Proceed deletes the previous user’s offline data without uploading it. If the previous user might have unsynced work, tap Cancel, log back in as that user, and sync first. Tap Proceed only when you’re sure nothing is waiting to upload.
