Before a new version of the FieldKo Atlas app is released in the App Store and Google Play, your company may ask some people to test it. Testers install a pre-release build, try their usual tasks, and report anything that doesn’t work as expected. This section is only for people who’ve been asked to test. If you just need the app, install it from the App Store or Google Play. See Install the FieldKo Atlas App.

Before You Begin

  • An invitation from your FieldKo contact. For iOS, you get a TestFlight invitation. For Android, you get a link to an APK file.
  • Sync first. If the app is already on your device, open the side menu, tap Sync, and make sure Pending Changes shows 0 records and 0 images. See Sync Your Data.
  • Know which org to use. Your company may ask you to test in a sandbox org instead of production. See Log In and Set Up the App.

What to Test

Your FieldKo contact tells you what to focus on. To see what’s new in a version, check the FieldKo Atlas Release Notes. A good test covers your normal day:
  1. Log in and wait for the first sync to finish.
  2. Open your visits, check in, complete tasks and surveys, and check out.
  3. Take photos, and place an order or record ranging if you use them.
  4. Tap Sync, and check that your work appears in Salesforce.
  5. Try the new features listed in the release notes.

Report a Problem

Email support@fieldko.com with:
  • The app version, shown at the bottom of the side menu
  • Your device model and whether it’s iOS or Android
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if you can
If records won’t sync, also send your data to FieldKo support.
