Find an Account
Search the accounts on your device by name:- In the side menu, tap Accounts.
- Your company might call accounts something else, such as Stores or Outlets.
- In Search Accounts, enter part of the account name.
The counter shows how many accounts match, for example 12 of 840 accounts.
Account cards show the name, industry, account number, grade, shipping address, phone, website, and type. Your admin can change which fields appear.
View Account Details
Tap an account to open Account Details. The header shows the name and address. It also shows these quick actions when the account has the data:- Call
- Email (the account’s email, or the account owner’s)
- Website
- Directions (opens your preferred maps app)
On the Details tab, tap the action button to Edit, Delete, Show on Map, or Attach File. Each option appears only if you have permission.
When you delete a record, the app marks it for deletion. FieldKo removes it from Salesforce at your next sync.
Use Related Lists
Related lists show the records linked to an account, such as its orders:- On the Related tab, tap a related list to see its records.
- Optional: To filter the list, enter any value in the search box.
Create or Edit a Record
1
Open the Form
On a list, tap New. Or, on a record, tap Edit. If the object has several record types, choose one in Select Record Type.
2
Fill In the Fields
The form follows your Salesforce page layout, and required fields are marked.
- A dependent picklist stays empty until you choose a value in its controlling field.
- For lookups, enter at least 3 characters to search all synced records.
3
Tap Save
The app saves the record on your device and uploads it at your next sync.
- If a field value isn’t valid: You see a message such as ” is required”, “Enter valid email address in ”, or “Enter shorter text (maximum N characters) in ”. Correct the field and save again.
- If you see Discard Changes: You tapped Cancel after making changes. Tap Continue Editing to go back, or tap Discard to lose your changes.
- If you see Read Only: Your Salesforce profile doesn’t let you create or edit that type of record. Ask your admin for access.
Some validation runs only in Salesforce. If a record breaks a validation rule, it saves on your device but fails at sync. See Fix Sync Errors.
Attach a Photo or File
Before you attach a file, keep these limits in mind:- Files must be 5 MB or smaller. Larger files show “File too large”.
- Executable files, such as
.exe,.apk,.dmg, and.sh, are blocked. You see “Executable files cannot be attached.” - If Attach File is missing, your admin hasn’t turned on attachments for that object.
- Open the record, and then tap Attach File.
- On Account Details, this option is in the action button on the Details tab.
- Tap Camera, Photo Library (or Gallery), or Document.
