These answers apply to both ways of buying FieldKo unless they say otherwise. For the full picture, see How FieldKo Licensing Works.
FieldKo runs on Salesforce, so every user needs a Salesforce user license. You can either buy Salesforce licenses from Salesforce and install FieldKo in your own org, or buy FieldKo with Salesforce licenses included, in an org FieldKo sets up for you. See How FieldKo Licensing Works.
They’re Salesforce’s names for 2 of the ways its partners sell apps, and FieldKo offers both. With ISV, you install FieldKo in your own Salesforce org and buy Salesforce licenses directly from Salesforce. With OEM, FieldKo includes the Salesforce licenses in your subscription, and you can use them only with FieldKo. See FieldKo in Your Own Salesforce Org and FieldKo with Salesforce Included.
In your own org, reps usually have a Salesforce Platform license, which includes the standard objects FieldKo uses. Platform Starter and Platform Plus differ in how many custom objects each user can access, so confirm with your FieldKo contact which one fits before you buy. With Salesforce included, reps use the license in your subscription. See Choose a Salesforce License for Each User.
No. FieldKo needs Enterprise Edition, Unlimited Edition, or Performance Edition. See Supported Salesforce Editions.
Yes. Give them a FieldKo license and the FieldKo permission sets. They keep everything their Sales Cloud license includes. Each user has only one Salesforce user license, so they don’t need a Platform license as well.
Not with the included licenses. They’re limited to FieldKo and don’t include Salesforce’s customer relationship management (CRM) products, such as Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. If some users need these, talk to your FieldKo account manager about adding licenses from Salesforce to the same org. See If You Also Want Other Salesforce Products.
You can configure FieldKo, for example with your own fields, layouts, flows, reports, and dashboards. FieldKo’s order form also lets you create up to 10 custom objects of your own, used only with FieldKo. You can’t use the org for apps that aren’t part of FieldKo. See Use Is Limited to FieldKo.
Yes. Anyone who reads FieldKo data, including in reports and dashboards, needs a Salesforce user license and a FieldKo license. See Who Needs a FieldKo License.
Yes, if it reads or writes FieldKo objects, for example to load products or export survey answers.
Your org gets a base amount plus an amount for each user license. For example, an Enterprise Edition org with 50 user licenses gets about 11 gigabytes (GB) of data storage and 110 GB of file storage. FieldKo licenses don’t add any storage to Salesforce’s standard allocation. See How Much Storage You Get.
Photos use the most file storage. Survey answers and ranging lines usually use the most data storage, because each answer and each ranged product is its own record. See Estimate What FieldKo Uses.
Salesforce keeps your production org running, but performance can drop. Archive older data, or buy more storage: from Salesforce if FieldKo is in your own org, or through FieldKo if Salesforce is included. See If You Go Over Your Storage.
Yes. The app syncs through Salesforce’s APIs, so each sync uses API calls from your org’s daily allowance. See Daily API Allowance.
Remove a FieldKo license from someone who no longer needs it, or contact your FieldKo account manager for more. See When You Run Out of Licenses.
Salesforce lets you assign package licenses only in Salesforce Classic. Switch to Salesforce Classic, open Installed Packages, and then click Manage Licenses next to each FieldKo package. See Assign FieldKo Licenses.
If FieldKo is in your own org, your FieldKo records stay in your org with the rest of your Salesforce data. If you later uninstall the FieldKo packages, Salesforce emails you a link to an export of the packages’ data, available for a limited time. If Salesforce is included, your agreement with FieldKo sets what happens to the org, so ask your FieldKo account manager, and export anything you need before the subscription ends. See Export FieldKo Data and Photos.
