Before You Begin
- Gather the product name, category, unit price for each price book, and a product image.
- Decide which product sets (core ranges) include the product.
- To add many products or prices at once, see Import and Update Data.
Add the Product
Complete these steps in order. Each step links to the full instructions.1
Create the FieldKo Product
On the Product tab, create a FieldKo Product. Set Status to Active, and select a FieldKo Product Category so reps can filter by it. See Products.
2
Add Price Book Entries
In each price book that should sell the product, add a FieldKo Pricebook Entry with the Unit Price. Reps see the product on the order screen only for accounts whose FieldKo Contract links to that price book, and only while the price book has isActive selected and dates that include today. See Price Books.
3
Add the Product to Core Ranges
To check the product’s distribution in stores, open each Product Set that should include it, and add a Product Set Line Item for the product. Every account with a Ranging Contract for that set then sees the product on the core ranging screen. To start a new range, create a product set and add ranging contracts to the accounts. See Core Ranging.
4
Attach a Product Image
On the product record, attach the image as a file or attachment. If a product has several images, the app shows the first one. Reps download product images when they sync with Sync Images turned on.
5
Optional: Retire Products the New One Replaces
Set the old product’s Status to Inactive. FieldKo then selects Inactive on all of its price book entries and product set line items, and reps stop seeing it on the order and ranging screens. Past orders and ranging keep the product.Setting the product back to Active doesn’t undo this. To bring a product back, also deselect Inactive on each price book entry and product set line item you want to restore.
6
Ask Reps to Sync
New products, prices, and range changes reach reps at their next sync. Ask reps to tap Sync, or wait for background sync.
