FieldKo can display its interface in multiple languages. As an admin, you can set a default language for the entire org, then override it at the user or profile level.
All language settings are managed via the Language Support custom setting. Additionally, you can leverage Salesforce’s Translation Workbench for deeper translations of labels and picklists.
1. Default Organisation Language
Set the base language for every FieldKo user:
In Setup, search for Custom Settings and click it.
Find Language Support and click Manage.
If no record exists, click New; otherwise, click Edit next to the existing record.
In the Default Organisation section, enter the ISO code for your language in both the Calendar and Map fields (e.g.
enfor English,frfor French).Click Save.
All users will now see FieldKo’s calendar labels, map controls and built-in messages in the default language you set.
2. User-Specific Language
Override the default for individual users:
In Custom Settings, click Manage next to Language Support.
Click New.
For Location, choose User.
Click the lookup icon, find and select the user.
Enter the desired ISO code in Calendar and Map fields.
Click Save.
That user’s interface will now appear in the chosen language, regardless of the org default.
3. Profile-Specific Language
Apply a language setting across all users with a given profile:
In Custom Settings > Language Support > Manage, click New.
Select Profile for Location.
Use the lookup to choose the profile (e.g. Standard User).
Enter the ISO code in Calendar and Map fields.
Click Save.
All users with that profile will see FieldKo in the specified language, unless they have their own user-level override.
4. Advanced Translations via Translation Workbench
For full localisation of FieldKo (custom labels, picklist values, help texts):
In Setup, search Translation Workbench and click Translation Settings.
Enable the languages you need and assign translators.
Go to Translate under Translation Workbench, select the language and component type (e.g. Custom Labels, Custom Fields).
Filter by the FieldKo namespace to translate FieldKo labels, field names, picklists, etc.
Enter translations and click Save.
This ensures every custom label in FieldKo is fully translated for your users’ language.
By following these steps, you can deliver a seamless, multi-language experience in FieldKo – from basic calendar/map text to fully localised labels and picklists.
