Reset Your Password

Learn how to reset your FieldKo password using the 'Forgot Password' link or with help from your admin

Updated this week

Forgetting your FieldKo password can happen to anyone – no worries! FieldKo is built on Salesforce, so you have easy ways to reset your login password using standard Salesforce features. This article walks you through two methods: first, the self-service “Forgot Password” process for users, and second, the steps for admins to manually reset a user’s password in Salesforce Setup.

Self-Service: Using “Forgot Password”

To reset your password, you’ll need your FieldKo username – usually your work email. If you’re unsure or don’t have one, your admin can usually help. If they’re unsure how, we’ve included admin instructions below.

If your organisation has enabled Multi-Factor Authentication you will also need to setup the Salesforce Authenticator.

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself through the Forgot Password link on the FieldKo login page. This is the quickest way to get back into your account without needing to contact anyone. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to the FieldKo Login Page: https://login.salesforce.com/ On the sign-in screen, click “Forgot Your password?”

  2. Enter your Username. You’ll be prompted to enter your FieldKo username – this is usually your work email address. Provide the email/username associated with your account and submit the form.

  3. Check Your Email Inbox. Salesforce (which powers FieldKo’s login) will send you an email with instructions to reset your password. This email typically arrives within a few minutes and contains a secure link.

  4. Click the Reset Link and Follow Instructions. Open the password reset email and click on the Reset Password link. It will take you to a secure Salesforce page where you can set up a new password. You may be asked to answer your security question if one is configured (this is a standard Salesforce security step).

  5. Choose a New Password. Enter your new password (twice for confirmation) on the reset page. Make sure your new password meets any complexity requirements (for example, minimum length or including numbers/symbols, as per your organisation’s policy). Submit to save the new password.

  6. Log In with Your New Password. Return to the FieldKo login page (https://login.salesforce.com/) and sign in using your username and the new password you just set. You should now be able to access FieldKo successfully with your updated credentials.

Tip: If you don’t see the password reset email after a few minutes:

  • Check your Spam or Junk email folder, in case the message was filtered there.

  • Verify that you entered the correct username/email on the reset form (it should be the email address associated with your FieldKo account). Typos can happen!

  • If the email still doesn’t arrive or the reset link has expired (reset links are time-sensitive), reach out to your FieldKo administrator or support for further help. They can trigger a new reset for you if needed.

Admin: Resetting a User’s Password in Salesforce

Admins (or team leaders with Salesforce admin access) can also help users by manually resetting their passwords from the Salesforce Setup menu. This is useful if a user is locked out, hasn’t received the reset email, or is unable to complete the self-service process. The admin-driven reset still uses standard Salesforce functionality – it sends the user an email with instructions to set a new password, just like the self-service option.

To reset a FieldKo user’s password as an admin, follow these steps in Salesforce:

  1. Open Salesforce Setup. Log in to your Salesforce (FieldKo) admin account. Click the gear icon in the top right and select Setup. (Ensure you have the necessary admin rights to manage users.)

  2. Navigate to Users. In Setup, go to the Quick Find search bar on the left and type “Users”. Select the Users option under the Administration menu (or Manage Users section). This will display the list of user accounts in your organisation.

  3. Select the User to Reset. Find the name of the user who needs a password reset. You can scroll or use the search on the Users page. Once you locate the user, tick the checkbox next to their name. (If you want to reset multiple users at once, you can check several boxes.)

  4. Click “Reset Password(s)”. With the user selected, click the Reset Password(s) button at the top of the user list. Salesforce will ask you to confirm this action in a pop-up.

  5. Confirm the Reset. In the confirmation prompt, click OK to proceed. Salesforce will immediately trigger a password reset email to the user’s address on file. (You’ll see a message confirming that the reset email was sent.)

  6. User Receives Reset Email. The user should receive an email shortly, containing a link to reset their password (just like the self-service “Forgot Password” email). You might want to inform the user to check their inbox and follow the instructions in that email to set a new password. There is no need for the admin to set a temporary password manually – Salesforce handles this securely via the email link.

Note: Instead of using the checkbox list view, you can also reset a single user’s password by clicking on the user’s name to open their User Detail page, then clicking the Reset Password button on that page. This does the same thing (sends the reset email). Use whichever method you find more convenient.

By using Salesforce’s standard password reset features, FieldKo ensures that password recovery is secure and straightforward. Whether you reset it yourself or get help from an admin, your account will be back up and running with a new password in no time. Remember to keep your new password safe, and consider updating it periodically as a good security practice.
