# Get Visit Reminders

> Get a notification when you miss a check-in or check-out on today's visits, and fix reminders that don't appear.

Use this page to turn on visit reminders and fix them when they don't appear. Visit reminders are notifications that FieldKo sends when you miss a check-in or check-out on today's visits, so you can keep your visit records accurate.

| Notification | When It Appears |
| - | - |
| **Check-in missed** | The planned start time plus your reminder delay has passed, and you haven't checked in. |
| **Check-out missed** | The planned end time plus your reminder delay has passed, and you haven't checked out. |

To open the visit, tap the notification. Each reminder appears only once per day. If you reschedule the visit, its reminders reset.

## Before You Begin

* **Your admin must turn on mobile visit reminders.** If the reminder settings are grayed out and show **Controlled by your organization**, ask your admin to turn on mobile visit reminders.
* **Notifications must be allowed for FieldKo Atlas** in your device settings. See [Fix Reminders That Aren't Showing](#fix-reminders-that-arent-showing).

## Turn Reminders On or Off

You control reminders on the **Settings** screen:

1. In the side menu, tap **Settings**.
2. Go to the **Calendar & Visits** section.
3. Turn on or turn off **Visit Reminders**.
4. Optional: Set the **Reminder Delay**, the number of minutes the app waits before it sends a reminder.

## Fix Reminders That Aren't Showing

If reminders don't appear, check each of these:

    Open your device's settings, find **FieldKo Atlas**, and make sure notifications are allowed. On Android, also check the **Visit reminders** notification channel.

    1. In the side menu, tap **Settings**, and go to the **Calendar & Visits** section.
    2. Tap **Alarms & reminders permission**, and then allow it.
    3. Tap **Battery optimization (Android)**, and then turn off optimization for FieldKo Atlas.

    The app schedules reminders for today's visits each time the home screen loads. Open the app at the start of the day.

  <Accordion title="Check Whether You Recently Logged Out or Reset Sync">
    Logging out cancels all reminders and resets your reminder settings. **Reset Sync** also resets reminder settings. Check your reminder settings again.
